These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. It covers issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.

Special care has been taken to ensure that information is given in clear language, and the content and style has been tested with user groups.

Out of Hours
You should call the Out of Hours service when the Practice is closed and you either have an urgent health care problem, or feel that the problem cannot safely wait until the next routine surgery. Phone the practice outside of office hours on 0151 630 2080.


Extended Opening
We have recently reviewed our opening hours and are now offering pre-bookable evening and early morning appointments. Please see "Extended Opening" link opposite for further details.

Test Results
The results of hospital tests may be obtained by calling in or telephoning between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
